പിന്നെ എനിക്ക് എഴുതാനും വയ്യ.
Well, when Arun commented "take 2 crocins and write a blog on ur illness" on my status update on facebook, I never thought I'll ever do that!.. but here i am.. doing just that.
But there's a reason behind this post.. and it's not my fever.... it's all about doctors.. when you really can't trust them.
I'd been on bed for the last two days... with that irritating throat pain and friggin bodyache.. Well, I can handle all that with a little bit of rest. And I was doing better untill i realised that I've started coughing and my chest is about to get infested!.. wo wo wo.. that's something that i cannot handle myself. I had a bad bad history about all these coughing thingy!.. and i don't even want to think about that ...
So.. i decided to go see the doctor!
I walked a bit near the Meat market, looking for this particular doctor my friend suggested. Oh here it is... a Hand painted nameplate which said:
Dr. Doctor (Let's call him that way)
Consulting Physician, Cardiologist and Diabetologist.
Specialist in "Fever"
Come on!!.. A Doctor who's a fever specialist!!
Is there anyone who's a sneeze specialist? I want to consult him too.. !!
Well, that nameplate directed me to an apartment building which apparently had a "Hospital" working on its first floor!. and on the steps there was a board which said
"please remove your SHOSE here" (there was some more smelling pistakes that i can't remember now)
Well, I walked in.. met the doctor..
"Pull out your toungue... .. mmhmm.. take a deep breath.. aha.. hmm ok.. "
And he "prescribed" these medicines to me.. for "Viral Fever"!

Cetzine 0-0-1
Wikoryl 1-1-1
Roxid 0-0-1
Well.. I can not make out anything from those names!.. except for that Otrivin thing. I know what it is.. so decided to chuck that.
But at the medical store, he said, it'll last for atleast two years.. Hmm.. quite a nice "investment" i should say... i decided to buy it :)
The rest of the stuff, since I didnt' know what they were, I bought them.
And as any one who's in love with google do these days.. I just googled for their ingredients:

So... does that mean that all these areas get affected when i take these pills??? oh my god!

There you go!!.. now this is the third one that's gonna make me dizzy!

പക്ഷേ, കേരളം കാണണമെങ്കില്‍ നല്ല മഴപെയ്തു തോരണം. പൊടിയെല്ലാമൊതുങ്ങി, ഇലകളെല്ലാം വൃത്തിയായി, നിഴലില്ലാതെ, നിറങ്ങളെല്ലാം നല്ല വെടിപ്പോടെ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന ആ ഒരു സ്റ്റൈലന്‍ ഫീലുണ്ടല്ലോ... അതാണു മനസ്സില്‍ ഇത്രയും നാള് ഇട്ട് ഉരുട്ടി ഉരുട്ടി നല്ല നെല്ലിക്കാ പരുവത്തിലാക്കി കൊണ്ടുവന്നത്.

താമരശ്ശേരി “ചൊരം” കയറാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോഴേക്കും നേരം ഇരുട്ടി, ആകെ മൊത്തം ടോട്ടല്‍ ഇരുട്ട്. പിന്നെ ഒന്നുറങ്ങിയെണീറ്റപ്പോഴാണ് ആ സുന്ദര സുരഭില പുളകിതമായ കാഴ്ച ;) കണ്ണില്‍ പെട്ടത്. ചുരത്തിന്റെ അങ്ങുമുകളില്‍ ഹെയര്‍ പിന്‍ വളവുകള്‍ തിരിയുന്ന വണ്ടികളുടെ ഹെഡ്‌ലൈറ്റുകള്‍ അവിടത്തെ കോടമഞ്ഞില്‍ തട്ടി തിളങ്ങുന്നു. പ്രകാശത്തൂണുകള്‍ മുകളില്‍ നിന്നാരോ തട്ടി മറിച്ചിടുന്ന പോലെ... കൊള്ളാം ഞാന്‍ ഒന്നു കൂടി ഉറങ്ങി.
പത്തുമണിയോടെ “തോണിച്ചാല്‍” സ്റ്റോപ്പില്‍ ഇറങ്ങി. ഇടവഴിയിലൂടെ രഞ്ജിത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു വച്ചടിച്ചു. ഞങ്ങളുടെ മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണുകളുടെ അരണ്ട വെളിച്ചത്തില്‍ ഇരുട്ടിനെ കീറിമുറിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പതുക്കെ തപ്പിത്തടഞ്ഞു നടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ (മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തിനു മൂര്‍ച്ച കുറവായിരുന്നു... ഇരുട്ട് അത്ര പെട്ടെന്നു മുറിഞ്ഞില്ല!) നല്ല കറുകറുത്ത ആ‍കാശം മുഴുവന്‍ തിളങ്ങിനില്‍ക്കുന്ന നക്ഷത്രങ്ങള്‍. നല്ല ഒന്നാന്തരം കാഴ്ച! നഗരത്തിലെ ലൈറ്റുകളാല്‍ മായ്ക്കപ്പെട്ട് ഒരു മാതിരി ചാരനിറത്തിലായ ആകാശമേ കുറേക്കാലമായി നമുക്കു പരിചയമുള്ളൂ. അതിനിടയില്‍ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു കാഴ്ച മനം കുളിര്‍പിച്ചു.
പത്തരയോടെ വീട്ടിലെത്തി, അച്ഛനും അമ്മയും ഉറങ്ങിയിരുന്നില്ല. നല്ല നാടന്‍ ബിരിയാണിയും വച്ച് ഞങ്ങളെ കാത്തിരിപ്പയിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ, ആദ്യം കാപ്പി. ആഹഹഹ!! ഉശിരന്‍ കാപ്പി! സ്വന്തം പറമ്പില്‍ വിളഞ്ഞ കാപ്പിക്കുരു വറുത്തുപൊടിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയ ആ കാപ്പികൂട്ടിയുള്ള ബിരിയാണിതീറ്റ!!! കിടിലന്‍ .. ഉള്‍ക്കിടിലന്‍!
പിന്നെ സുഖശീതളമായ ഉറക്കം! നല്ല തണുപ്പ് (ഓര്‍ക്കണം, ഇതു വേനല്‍ക്കാലത്തിന്റെ ഉച്ചകോടിയാണ്, ഒരു വേനല്‍ മഴപോലും കിട്ടാതെ ഭൂമി പഴുത്തു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന സമയം. എന്നിട്ടും ഇവിടെ രാത്രിക്കു തണുപ്പാണ്. അതാണു വയനാട്.) പുതച്ചുമൂടി കിടന്നുറങ്ങി.
